We are approximately 0.3 miles north of the intersection of I-29 and MD RT-108. Additional nearby thoroughfares include I-70, I-95, MD RT-175, and US-40. Baltimore is approximately 17 miles northeast, and Washington, DC, is about 35 miles southwest.

Shopping
Dorsey's Choice residents have a great deal of shopping available. Whether you're looking to support a local shop, or you prefer larger retailers, nearly everything is just a few minutes away. Historic Ellicott City's Main Street hosts a variety of antique stores, while US-40 is home to car dealerships and auto repair shops, supermarkets, restaurants, electronics stores, banks, hardware retailers, and much more. A drive of less than 10 minutes will bring you to The Mall in Columbia, which boasts 5 anchor stores, a twenty-four screen movie theater, and much more. There are a fair number of shopping centers minutes away. But, of course, the most convenient shopping is right in our own backyard at Dorsey's Search Village Center.

Dining
Whether you're looking for a take-out place, a romantic atmosphere for you and your significant other, or anything in between, it's all within minutes of our community. Within walking distance, you can choose from Italian or Chinese cuisine, sandwiches, or coffee. Five minutes away, you can be at one of your favorite chain restaurants. Of course, there are plenty of independently owned eateries waiting to be sampled.

Things To Do
Dorsey's Choice is located merely yards away from the Dorsey's Search public swimming pool, two tot-lots, and along Columbia's well-known path system. Historic Ellicott City, minutes away by car, hosts a B&O Railroad Museum and Civil War trails. Half a mile south on Columbia Road is the Fairway Hills Golf Course. Our location makes it very convenient to travel to Baltimore or Washington, DC, to take in the sights and culture afforded there.
